In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I believe my media product which is a music magazine cover challenges forms of real meida products as there is not much music magazine solely on country pop therefore allows my magazine to look unique, and has great potiental. My magazine has the potienatal to develop and grow into a real media product as I have written the magazine article myself and have constructed a contents, article and cover by looking at previous magazines that have been sold worldwide.
How does your media product represent particular social groups?
I believe that my media product can represent both a young audience as well as an older audience, as the language I have used is appropriate for both and contry pop is not only aimed at a young audience but both i.e taylor swift's fan range from a high to a low age. The social group I was aiming at was not too young but not too old, this is represented in the colours and images I have used, if it was for more of a younger audience I would have used pinks and blues, however it is the opposite therefore it is aimed at an older audience from the age19 and above.
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
In my opinon I think that Bauer Magazine, would distribute my media product, as it already features, a variety of magazines from Kerrang, pop and mojo which are different and unique in their own way
thererfore my magazine would fit more within the bauer category as all the magzines are different and unique in their own way, if bauer magazine was to distribute my magazine this would give the institution a variety and a wider variety as Bauer already has a variety of magazines.
Who would be the audience for your media product?
The audience for my media product would be aged from 19 and above as it is very informative and would not attract a younger audience, from looking at the level of attraction.
How did you attract/address your audience?
I made sure that the models I was using were the same age range as to who I was directing the whole audience towards. This was clever technique used, because If i used an older model it would attract the wrong audience as, people first look at the image on the front of the magazine to see who it is and what music they produce, therefore it was important that I used a model aged 19 to attract the right audience. I attrtacted the audience by using artists on the sides that were young and just got into music such as Hannah and Inayah. I also used bands that are popular in the age group of 19and above to attract the right audience.
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
From looking at where I started off from, I did not know at all how to use photoshop, because I had never used photoshop before, therefore by carrying out the preliminary task I learnt alot about how to simply add layers as well as how to brighten the brightness, and contrast of the image, as well as how to sharpen the images, therefore I learnt many things with creating articles, covers and contents pages.I also learnt about, how to use a camera i.e using different shots such as a long shot, mid shot and a close up.
Looking back at your prelimiary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Looking back at myprelimiary task I have learnt alot about positioning and how carry out different camera shots and use photoshop more, i,e i learnt about how to sue the tools and using more relaisitc images, I also leanr how to use different fonts as well as using a clearer masthead.
